الجمعية العربية السعودية للثقافة والفنون : في يوم 19/11/1393هـ الموافق 13/12/1973م. صدر القرار رقم 43 من الإدارة العامة لرعاية الشباب بوزارة العمل والشؤون الاجتماعية بمنح الترخيص المبدئي للجمعية باسم (الجمعية العربية السعودية للفنون) ولمدة عام من تاريخه. وفي عام 1394هـ/ 1974م, أصبحت الإدارة العامة لرعاية الشباب مؤسسة حكومية ذات شخصية وميزانية مستقلة ترتبط إدارياً بالمجلس الأعلى لرعاية الشباب باسم (الرئاسة العامة لرعاية الشباب) برئاسة الأمير فيصل بن فهد بن عبدالعزيز «رحمه الله». وفي يوم 12/4/1395هـ/ 23/4/1975م, صدر قرار الأمير فيصل بن فهد رقم 33 بمنح الترخيص النهائي للجمعية العربية السعودية للفنون. وفي 18/3/1398هـ/ 25/2/1978م, تم تعديل اسم الجمعية ليكون (الجمعية العربية السعودية للفنون والثقافة) وذلك بناءً على موافقة سمو نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء رئيس المجلس الأعلى للشباب آنذاك (خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك فهد بن عبدالعزيز «رحمه الله»). وفي العام نفسه صدر قرار من الأمير فيصل بن فهد بتقديم كلمة (الثقافة على كلمة الفنون), وذلك لشمولية الثقافة في المعنى والمدلول معاً, وليصبح الاسم كما هو الآن (الجمعية العربية السعودية للثقافة والفنون). وورد بالنظام الأساسي للجمعية أن يكون مقرها الرئيس بمدينة الرياض, ولها الحق في إنشاء فروع بمناطق المملكة تسير وفق السياسة والأهداف المرسومة لها وهذه الأهداف هي: 1. الارتقاء بمستوى الثقافة والفنون بالمملكة. 2. رعاية الأدباء والفنانين السعوديين والعمل على رفع مستواهم الثقافي, والفني, والاجتماعي, وتأمين مستقبلهم, وتوجيههم لما يخدم مجتمعهم. 3. تبني المواهب الشابة وإتاحة الفرص أمامها لإبراز تفوقها ونبوغها في ظل الإشراف والتوجيه لتصبح حصيلتها داخل إطار ملتزم بالقيم والأصالة. 4. تمثيل المملكة في كل ما من شأنه الارتقاء بالثقافة والفنون على المستويين العربي والعالمي, لمتابعة حركتيهما والتنسيق معهما. ومنذ تأسيس الجمعية بمركزها الرئيس بمدينة الرياض وحتى الآن, أصبح لها ستة عشر فرعاً في مختلف مدن المملكة. ونظراً لشمولية أهداف الجمعية حول حقول الثقافة والفنون، فإن طبيعة العمل بها وبفروعها يتطلب تكوين عدد من اللجان لتقديم نشاطاتها المختلفة. وخلال السنوات العشر الأولى من عمر الجمعية كان هناك سبع لجان هي : اللجنة الثقافية، لجنة الفنون المسرحية، لجنة الفنون التشكيلية، لجنة الفنون الشعبية، لجنة الموسيقى والغناء، لجنة الإعلام والنشر، لجنة التوجيه الفني. وبعد ذلك بقليل حصل تعديل طفيف على عدد اللجان وبعض مسمياتها لتصبح ثمان لجان هي : اللجنة الثقافية، لجنة الفنون المسرحية، لجنة الفنون التشكيلية، لجنة التراث والفنون الشعبية، لجنة الإنشاد، لجنة الإعلام والنشر، لجنة التصوير الضوئي، نادي القصة السعودي. وبعد تشكيل مجلس الإدارة الثالث في 23/8/1427هـ/16/9/2006م، حصل تعديل جديد على اللجان ومسمياتها لتصبح خمس لجان هي : لجنة الفنون المسرحية، لجنة الفنون التشكيلية والخط العربي، لجنة التراث والفنون الشعبية والموسيقية، لجنة التصوير الضوئي، اللجنة النسائية. ومع بداية عام 1431هـ, تم دمج اللجنة النسائية مع بقية اللجان الأربع الأخرى في معظم فروع الجمعية.

On 12/04/1395 AH / 23.04.1975, Prince Faisal bin Fahd Resolution No. 33 to grant final authorization for the Association of Saudi Arabia for the Arts released. On 03/18/1398 AH / 02.25.1978 AD, has been modified Assembly name to be (Saudi Arabian Society for Arts and Culture), based on the approval of the Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth at the time (the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz «God's mercy »). In the same year the decision of the Prince Faisal bin Fahd submit a word (the word culture Arts) was issued, and that the comprehensiveness of culture in the sense and meaning together, and it becomes the name as it is now (Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and the Arts). Word statute Assembly to be based in Riyadh, the President, and has the right to establish branches in regions of the Kingdom is going according to the policy objectives set for it These goals are: 1. raise the level of culture and the arts in the Kingdom. 2. patronage of writers and artists Saudis and work to raise the cultural level, and technical, social, and secure their future, and directing them to serve their community. 3. adoption of young talent and opportunity in front of her to show its superiority and Npogha under the supervision and guidance to become the proceeds within the framework of values ??and is committed to authenticity. 4. Representing the Kingdom in everything that would promote culture and the arts at the Arab and international levels, to follow Hrkiehma and coordination with them. Since the establishment of its position as Assembly President in Riyadh, and so far, it has become her sixteen branches in different cities of the Kingdom. Due to the comprehensiveness of the goals of Assembly on culture and arts fields, the nature of the work and its branches requires configure the number of committees to provide different activities. During the first ten years of the Assembly there were seven committees are: the Cultural Committee, the Committee on Performing Arts, the Fine Arts Committee, the Committee on folk art, to music and singing Committee, the Committee on Information and Publication, Committee on technical guidance. Shortly after it got a slight adjustment to the number of committees and some denominations to become eight committees are: the Cultural Committee, the Committee on Performing Arts, the Fine Arts Committee, the Committee on heritage and folklore, the Committee of chanting, the Committee on Information and Publication, Committee on Photography, Saudi story club. After the formation of the Board of Directors third in 08/23/1427 AH / 09.16.2006, he received a new amendment to the committees and denominations to become the five committees are: Committee for the Performing Arts, the Fine Arts Committee and calligraphy, Heritage Committee and popular music and the arts, the Committee of Photography, the Commission women. By the beginning of 1431, was merged with the rest of the Women's Committee of the other four committees in most branches of Assembly.
