Environmental Development Company (EDCO) was established in 2005 with the objective to develop complete environmental services with emphasis on hazardous waste management, its transportation treatment and disposal, environmental engineering, and other related environmental services.
EDCO has completed the first phase of its facility development to operate a Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facility (TSDF) for hazardous & non Hazardous wastes generated by local and national industries. The company will also provide other environmental services including training of industry personnel, monitoring of sites and procurement of related equipment. The facility is located within Jubail Industrial City limits and has been developed in compliance with Royal Commission standards and regulatory requirements.
The facility is located within Jubail industrial city limits. Specifically, the facility is approximately 4 Km west of the RC landfill on the south side of road 274 which is the southern limit of Jubail phase II. Jubail Industrial City, established in 1975, has achieved a worldwide industrial recognition as an advanced petrochemical industrial complex. Under the patronage of The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Jubail has become the nation’s model industrial center known for its productivity, socio-economic impact on the local community, as well as its strict compliance with international industrial standards.
Following the Successful accomplishments of the first phase development of Jubail industrial city (Jubail I) the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu has taken the decision to develop a new industrial park and develop a 4 stage (20 year) development plan, All of which are planned to be located in the New Jubail Industrial City (Jubail II).
