تعتبر شركة الخزندار للتوزيع والخدمات الطبية من أوائل الشركات بالمملكة فى توزيع الصحف والمجلات وكافة المطبوعات الأجنبية والعربية. ومنذ بداية الشركة فى عام 1960م وهى فى تطور مستمر حيث أضيف الى نشاطها أنشطة أخرى لاتقل أهمية عن توزيع المطبوعات ( توزيع الكتب العلمية والمدرسية والدوريات الطبية والعلمية المتخصصة بالأضافة الى النشاط الطبى والأدوية. وتاريخ الشركة يرجع الى عهد مؤسسها الشيخ محمد على خزندار(رحمه الله) حيث بدأت بشراء محلات (دبوس) عام 1960م وهى من كبرى المكتبات بالمملكة فى ذلك الوقت – وبعد هذه الخطوة الموفقة بدأ التطور فى كافة أنشطة هذه المحلات – وتم إدارة هذا النشاط تحت أسم مؤسسة الخزندار وأصبح لها فروع فى كل من الرياض والمنطقة الشرقية بالإضافة الى مركزها الرئيسى بجدة . وحتى يمكن إدارة هذا النشاط بفاعلية أكبر فقد أستعان الشيخ محمد على بأبنائه حسن خزندار وعابد خزندار وأخيرا سهيل خزندار المدير العام الحالى للشركة. وأصبحت المؤسسة فى هذا العهد من أوائل وكبرى الصروح التجارية – وصاحب هذا التوسع تحويل هذه المؤسسة الى شركة ذات مسئولية محدودة ثم أخيرا الى شركة الخزندار للتوزيع والخدمات الطبية. وكما أوضحنا سابقا فإن شركة الخزندار ومنذ بداية نشاطها تخصصت فى توزيع الصحف والمجلات وكافة المطبوعات الأجنبية وبلغات مختلفة – منها وعلى سبيل المثال مايصدر باللغة الانجليزية مثل مجلتى التايم والنيوزويك الامريكية – جريدة الهيرالد تريبيون الامريكية – الديلى تلجراف والديلى ميل والفاينانشيال تايمز اللندنية – ومنها مايصدر باللغة الفرنسية مثل جريدة ليموند الفرنسية والبعض الآخر يصدر باللغة الألمانية مثل جريدة فرانكفورتر – هذا بالاضافة الى المطبوعات المتخصصة فى مجالات متعددة منها الأزياء والديكور والمرأة والطفل ... الخ. ويمكن للزائر الوقوف على معلومات متعددة ومتنوعة خلال زيارته لهذا الموقع. بالإضافة الى ذلك فإن شركة الخزندار كانت من الرواد فى دخول مجال الدوريات العلمية والطبية ومازالت فى المقدمة والدليل على ذلك أننا نتعامل مع جهات حكومية ومؤسسات عامة وجامعات فى غاية الأهمية وتصل لها هذه الدوريات فى التوقيت المناسب وذلك بفضل تعاقدنا مع شركات شحن مشهورة فى كل من بريطانيا وأمريكا لضمان وصول هذه الدوريات فى الوقت المطلوب وبأعدادها كاملة دون نقص – كما اننا وفرنا للمشترك فى هذا النوع من المطبوعات إمكانية الخدمة الالكترونية وسيقف الزائر عند زيارته لهذا الموقع على مدى التطور فى توفير هذه الدوريات سواء الورقية أو الكترونية وسهولة الاشتراك والحصول عليها . وحتى تكتمل هذه الملحمة المعلوماتية فقد انشأنا قسم لتوفير الكتب بكافة انواعها سواء التعليمة أو التدريبية أو الارشادية أو الطبية وباللغة المطلوبة ويتم التعامل فى هذا المجال ومنذ سنوات مع عدد كبير من العملاء ( حكومية – جامعات – مؤسسات عامة ) لثقتهم الكبيرة بشركة الخزندار ولتاكدهم من أننا الجهة الوحيدة لتوريد هذا النوع من المطبوعات دون تأخير وبأسعار تنافسية. وسيجد القارىء لهذا النوع من المطبوعات إثراء بلا حدود . أضف الى ذلك القسم الطبى بالشركة – وهذا القسم أثبت قدرته على التنافس مع العديد من الشركات التى سبقته فى هذا الميدان – وأستطاعت الشركة بهذه القدرة التنافسية الحصول على العديد من الوكالات لشركات أجنبية – ويمكن للزائر لهذا الموقع الحصول على معلومات عديدة سواء كانت هذه المعلومات تخص الوكالات التى يتم التعامل معها أو المنتجات العائدة لهذه الوكالات. وسيلاحظ الزائر أن هناك مجال آخر فى دور الانشاء والتطوير ستقوم الشركة بإقتحامه قريبا وهو ( الأدوية) – ويتم الآن استكمال بعض الاجراءات تمهيدا للمشاركة فى توفير بعض الادوية صناعة سورية وذلك داخل السوق السعودى.

   Al-Khazindar Co. has altogether 17 branches in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These 17 branches are mainly for Books and Distribution Divisions. Al-Khazindar Co. has three Main branches for Medical and Scientific Divisions namely Riyadh, Jeddah and Khobar. Around 200 members are working in Khazindar Co.

The Medical and Scientific Division head office located in Riyadh, commenced business with a leading German medical equipment distribution and supply company in 1967, to distribute scientific and technical supplies. Al Khazindar Company is now exclusive representative in Saudi Arabia for some of the worlds leading manufacturers of surgical and scientific products, ophthalmic instrumentation and supplies, surgical microscopy and laboratory microscopy, ICU Units like Anesthesia Machines, Lung Ventilators and Patient Monitors.

The company employs 40 staff members directly involved in the medical business. The Distribution Division is mainly for distribution of world press with sole agencies of almost all important publishers such as Time, Newsweek, Readers Digest, Economist, U.S. News, Spiegel and many more of Europe, America and Middle East. The Company is regarded as the pioneer of the newspapers, magazines, books, journals, and subscription services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The business activities of the Books Division are presently concentrated on representation of some of the World's leading publishers with a wide range of school books, college books, universities, hospitals and scientific books. We have good relations with the main publishers and we meet with them yearly once.

Recently we have launched an E-book and currently working and developing E-books. We always fulfill the requirements of our customers; we have contracts with two shippers in London and U.S.A. to arrive the shipment in time and we maintain delivery in time.

The Periodical Division- Al Khazindar Company is the leading periodicals provider in Saudi Arabia both in print and online services. The Periodical Division supplies around 6000 Journals in all the Universities, Hospitals, Educational and Technical Institutions in Saudi Arabia.
