يعود تاريخ تأسيس شركة عطية للحديد المحدودة إلى عام 1957 بمدينة جدّة السّعودية على يد عائلة عطّية. و تُعتبر من الشركات الرائدة التي أُسست على أرض المملكة آنذاك، و لا زالت تلعب دورًا ريّاديًا في مجال توريد و صناعة الحديد في مناطق الخليج العربي و الشرق الأوسط و شمال افريقيا. تُعّد شركة عطية للحديد المحدودة بمثابة الشريان الرئيسي لجميع الشركات العاملة بالحديد ضمن مجموعة مجموعة عطّية، و التي تسعى المجموعة من خلالها إلى تنويع أعمالها المتعلقة بشكلٍ أساسي بمجال صناعة الحديد والصلب،بالإضافة إلى العديد من الخدمات الأخرى التي تقدمها المجموعة على غرار مقاولات مشاريع البنى التحتية و المقاولات الكهروميكانيكية، وأخرى متعلقة بالتجهيزات الطبية،
