تأسست شركة ملاذ للتأمين عام 2007م بموجب السجل التجاري الصادر من وزارة التجارة والصناعة كشركة مساهمة سعودية عامة برأس مال 300 مليون ريال سعودي (80 مليون دولار أمريكي). وفي نفس العام طرحت ملاذ للتأمين 47.48 % من رأس مالها للإكتتاب العام وتبع ذلك إدراج أسهم الشركة للتداول. كما حصلت على ترخيص مزاولة.
